About Me

I am a performer, choreographer, educator, and health coach. All of these journeys have sprouted from my love and passion for dance. I began dancing at a very young age as a competitive dancer, and from there I attended Ryerson University where I attained my BFA in Performance Dance. Since graduating, I have performed and trained in Toronto and abroad, and have expanded my performance skills as both an actor and a singer. I enjoy sharing my love for the performance arts across many different platforms, and am excited to continue growing, sharing and collaborating throughout this journey!

Teaching

I have been a dance and movement educator for almost a decade, teaching a variety of styles such as ballet, jazz, yoga, contemporary and modern. I currently hold certifications in Performing Arts Educators of Canada (PAEC full jazz member), Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers (ADAPT) and am a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200) through the Ruh Yoga School in Goa, India. Currently I teach contemporary every week at Metro Movement, weekly yoga for dancers classes online via YouTube, and am a member of the Toronto dance teaching service Quick Ball Change.

Contemporary Dance Class

Metro Movement

Every Wednesday 7 - 830

Class always begins with a centering meditation to become present in the space. From there we move into a guided anatomical improvisation to warm up the body, and create strong dynamic shifts through imagery, environment and effort. We spend another 10-15 minutes touching on technique and across the floor, before heading into the centre to learn an original contemporary combination.
